In my first year of grad. school at Kent State (2025-26), I worked for the athletic department's communications team. I gained valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of a Division I athletics department and the role of sports communications in supporting athletic events. 

During the 2025 football season, I created flip cards for visiting media that included numerical and alphabetical team rosters, updated game-by-game results, and other essential information. I also called live statistics for men's and women's basketball games, updated baseball game notes, compiled season statistics for the cross country program, and was a public address announcer for soccer, field hockey, fall baseball, and softball events.
